see kevin friedrich's work at cream gallery on mcdermot ave. there's similarities here.

bluemask-- i like yr work better w/out people. the bacgrounds, etc, that you do, are very strong as abstract-type stuff.

and this one's wicked.

I actually dropped by the Outworks, and Cream on Friday. I see the similarities. That`s a compliment!
I also ran in to my 2nd grade art teacher Elvira Finnegan, she reckognized me! I guess I haven`t grown that much.

... but isn`t abstract dead?

I remember when you showed this one at the label. When was that anyways?

Abstraction is alive and well. Isn't it all abstraction from reality, paintings are abstractions of life, non? or maybe they're just paintings or objects.

Maybe art is dead.

It was my first show at the Label, back in the `50`s. I don`t even know where the actual painting is right now, I found the pic on a disc.
I think art needs to re-boot. Clean slate the bitch. Look what happened to music. Music is currently on a respirator.
I`ll try and work on that re-boot program this week.

This one also reminded me of a Morin. Still lifes are cool. Are still lifes alive or dead? The name itself could imply either.
