moanez got me into these cats this weekend in TO. if you haven't heard them yet, consider yourself only a partially informed writer/artist/human being. it's (yes, comparisons are odious) the talking heads meeting opera, epic balladry, and divine rage all at the same time.

i took macri up the hill today and gave him mystrica. He s pretty tired. Now he s curled in his odd cacoon sleeping bag dreaming the strange dreams that she brings. We listen to django. (the greatest.) My kitty crouches in meditation on my lap. Bhuda is sitting laughing with me!

Response

It's in
the lanugo
soft contour
radiating
the power
of being
light
meeting
in the
middle

There's no
one left
to forget
what we
used
to know

Hearing
you say
holding
him

It's in
the way
it bursts
black sheen
joyful
presence
the weight
of a loss
no one
knows

As the
day grows
dim
holding
him
holding
him

I can touch

Reach
deep
plucks
the string
eternal

Taking
pictures
capturing
he swears
you hear

Sometimes
I can touch

Sometimes
I can touch
