actually, the debate over 'what is art' has gone on here before, but if you want to restart it...
I, for one, consider creative use of language to be an art, and I think the person who created the site that this post links to has gone into some effort to be creative, and so I think this does qualify as art.
considering this again, I suppose I could have posted this on the Great Melee, which is 'Art, Word' according to its description. However, I have found that the contributors have generally used that blog to create posts with the explicit purpose of creating discussion, whereas in the alfa blog the posts are generally stand-alone, although discussion often ensuses via the comments section.
There ARE rules. There are the rules (or some might say limitations) of the internet, for eg. I can't reach into my computer and touch the pink moon to see if it's cool or warm, and i can't smell the white city. There are also the (somewhat unspoken) rules of decency and common sense. For example if you put something really nasty up, people would click the little 'flag' button in the top right corner until some bologger dude came down with the axe. And of course there is administrative rules, where Dave or Carlos would delete something if it were even slightly to there disliking (which as of yet has never happened).
=)
ps. Buffaloing Buffalo buffalo is great fun, don't knock it till you try it.
A Love for Art was a collaborative blog for visual artists, musicians, writers, and social scientists. This blog has evolved into a new blog called BETA, go check it out!

That's why I'm Dr. Anonymous.
Who would ever want rules here? We're all reasonable people, no? Even this retarded example of art is art here.
