I wouldn't normally post unfinished work, but I thought it might be interesting to see a few stages, and i plan on working quite a bit on these over the next couple weeks.
it'll beinteresting to see the two tundras side by side. I wonder if the colors will be the same. the dots the same radius? I like the sky in this one a lot. nice skies!
Well, by posting pre-finished paintings, I hope to show you how I work in a few steps. For landscapes, first I do a basic sky/land (and/or water) like in 'unfinished 2'. Next I add details in layers from (far)top to bottom (close). The white trees/flowers you see in the first one are a base coat, so that the underpaint green doesn't affect the intensity of the details colour (red/yellow flowers/light green trees).

this looks like a tundra detail. a series, perhaps?
i'm really into the 19th-century japanese printmakers these days-- lots of them did "36 views of mount fuji" series.
you don't mean 'unfinished'. you mean at the first possible stage of completion!
excellent painting. I was wondering when another of the tundra series would appear. wait no longer! I look forward to many many more. :)

I`d like to see how you work. You have a distinctive style.
