Yep... there's a 9ft tall burt on the sidewalk in front of the label, greeting busriders (just like the guess who song... or is it the beatles?).

And then a troop of studly firemen show up (Ok, i'm not gay, but that guy on the right is HOT!), since we had the door propped open to the world outside. And Burt simply waits-- always waiting, always watching, silent. "I am noman," Burt says. "El Rey Nomano. Shhhhhhhhh..." 

So Querkus plays while Burt keeps his massive eyes on things ("An ever-watchful eye," Krahn says. "The sightless eye which sees all." I add: "A lidless eye, wreathed in flame...") 

"Sorry, I f'n forgot," Josey says, as Ren shows up to go out for coffee. Joe has to watch the place (like Burt) while Querkus plays to the U of W crowd.  

A DAY AT THE LABEL IN SEVERAL PARTS... so, 16 hrs after ike rocks the house, governor-general's award winner Ian Ross ("Hi you guys, it's me, Joe from Wpg") reads to the U of W crowd while burt observes 

not our biggest crowd ever, but as you can see, it included several local celebs including my boy KILLAH, Jo-Mi, Renemaphone, 2/3 of the perps, and other assorted cool people 

i think sam is showing ninanuts the ink on her thumb here... but i like to think it's more of a "you tawkin' to me?" pose.
