I see a slight move here towards the commercialization of this site. Very slight, and not something I am necessarily against either (and, being a relative latecomer/outsider, I'm a little hesitant to push the direction of what goes on here...)
For my two cents' worth, anyways, I really like the idea of expanding the volume of what goes one here. More art, more discussion. It's all good. If the goal is to create something like myspace, well, good luck I guess! If the goal is to further the interesting stuff that goes on here, that's excellent.
Just my thoughts. And then again, look how google got started...

further p.s. i think, newcomer or not, everyone's input, ideas, etc, are all welcome. obviously we're all too busy right now to worry about the specs of publishing this thing (if in fact that's what we want), but in the meantime, i say let's just keep on f'ing giv'n 'er, and whatever happens happens!
