i have a new blog! horray!
but don't worry (in case you were worried) that i was vacating everyone's favourite AlfA blog.
this new blog of mine is just a bunch of my own visual art that i'm eventually going to link through my website. lots of it (most of it?) has already been posted on the AlfA blog at one time or another.
i'm still tinkering with the settings and stuff, so bear w/ me.

I love that quote by Flaubert too, definitely one of my favourites. Funny, if you remember that book I quoted a couple weeks ago by Julian Barnes, that quote takes center stage throughout.

i think that quote (for those who read it) says so much about what we're all trying to hard to do as artists, thinkers, musicians, and just regular people every day in our most basic activities----that is, beating out a tune for bears to dance to, when all the while we are longing to move the stars to pity.

i wanted to say "trying SO hard to do" and instead i said "trying TO hard to do", which is of course not only gramatically incorrect (should be too in this case) but is also not wanted to say.
at this rate, i'll never move my cats to pity, never mind the stars. :0

Go easy on the cat pics. I don`t doubt they mean the world to you, but to strangers in strange net lands, pet pics are yawners.
Or set up a cat pics blog seperate and compare viewers :)
