What an awesome day. Got up at 7 am and went snowboarding as planed for weeks. The blessing in this case came in the form ofsunshine and 20cm of fresh pow-pow. So fun. Krahn, next time...

it`s funny how snow can bring out the best and worst of people. I took my little one out to the new hills. He had the time of his life. I helped 3 strangers with stuck cars. Then there are the whiners. " I can`t wait to leave this city" "This is bull$#@!, where are the snow plows???" I personally love a good blanket of snow. BOOM! over night. It happens every year, yet so many "veterans" seem suprised. I can also admit I kind of like the challenge of driving in it. If you know your cars limits, you can make it to your destination. The people I helped today were all recent immigrants. I had to chuckle because they were so unaware of what they were in for when they decided to go pick up a jug of milk. I showed one of them the old "foot mat traction" trick. I was offered dinner!
I love the way the tree branches look all painted with snow, and the woman walking down the middle of the road with shovel in one hand and her other arm out for balance. Great shot.
