The Other Manitoba

There's an interesting article in the New York Times today about Mennonites in Bolivia. What really caught my eye was the name of their town: Manitoba. There's an Alberta, too.

Not really art-related, but I thought others here might enjoy reading such incongruities as: "With no television or Internet access in Manitoba, news of developments in the capital often reaches the farmers through word of mouth. Sometimes they stop to chat at the general store operated by Abraham Martens, where buggies line up outside on a dirt parking lot."

Yeah, Tash told me about meeting you and talking about the fact that we know each other, but don't really know each other! My life is often like that...
