The Flight

convo

this is part of a convo that occured last night on a wintry winnipeg street, when some people walking home came across a scrawled bit of graffiti that said "i love you" and then debated the merit of that. one of them scrawled back "i love you too."

m: how can you say you love them?
j: because i love what they're doing.
m: so if you love what i'm doing...?
j: or i don't...?
m: and who's this "you"? is it you? is it me? i'm not you--i'm me. you're only you to you.
j: i'm me too.
m: you are me? i am you?
j: and i love both of us, and whoever's doing this tagging.

this actually happened, by the way.

this is a drawing of bruce heads opening at the conservatory. a good time was had by all. can you find bruce in the drawing? Dangerman Posted by Picasa

behold

that good old boy kerouac said "banishment of war and the bomb is only a negative answer, but a revolution of love is a positive answer. it's gotta be!"

and blizzard the grey is no longer, though i was once called that, in a former life.

Yes, that is a testicle hanging there...

It is what it is (you understand)

It is what it is

so when is it
and
when is it not

is what I mean

why is something
some thing
and not another

when everything
is made of the
same thing

is what I mean

when do you land
on a leaf
and travel the infinite
roundedness of green

to then return
to air

is what I mean

because I can love
the micro
and
the macro
is what I mean

because it is discontinuous
in its presences
and continuous in absentia

is what I mean

it is what I mean

the thinking
thing

that I am
it is what it is

Opportunity Knocks

broken tissue cracks my slender smile
open psalms feed what falls from tender breaths
"fly dreams" is the command
I with one humble wing

you don't talk the same way
what you saw then has changed
painted away the shame
save the honor of your name again today
I with one leaking eye

dance dance in the rain
circle round and round again
to the white rabbits end
dear vultures and one winged angels wait
for their ships to quietly
come on in

like the 14th string
in the 23rd dimension.

this was taken by my dad when he was doing volunteer work in bangladesh last year.

p.s. i've changed my name. i'm no longer l-blizzard. i'm now

Cyclage

Hurtling through the sky I turned my head to see the Winnipeg sun burning a path down, down, down. A chapter ends, and another begins. Cyclage.

String18

the ocean came to love, and
the only way to caress
was to sink her

promising heaven
she can win
and float to the
safety of towers
twenty-six

taken by the sky
one option
towards the eleven
flights of winter

String17

going and the day
luminesce in blue
sound and shine

sometimes given
and taken in the way
familiar screams
dream of the greening faith

in that violet essential
place where we came
forth exploding in relation

String16

see if you see
the thinking
three of which
are we

fleshing bursts
the unconnected
of all directions

hinged only
once and
found on
all maps
to everywhere

waiting to love
waiting to love

String15

power
and three

we

twenty-six
ways to
eleven

grasping
what is not
seen can be
easy

if only for a
moment

String14

beat

there is a
violence
to love
that frames
the revolution

ye are we
and salute the ones
gone in the pearl

beat

true to the thinking
gift
of reason
and vital libation

man

never tired
of love

points that
are pointing
to strings
in the heat
cold of winter's
three

do you feel me
eleven of the twenty-
six
secrets
and trade

we are all
the same
different
only in degree

String12

blanketed
on all sides
and breathing
of resistance

shines
living valleys
and the rule
of feats

guided
blind
reaching
towards the
ecstasy

red and blood
mark the way
finding the strings
as all walk

be tired

you may not
be ready

String10

born noble
awaiting the sea
change and
the world so
sweet

know the
rainbow
boundary
feeling the wish
that climbs

landing to
dive and the
arc eve
dancing

we of the thinking
three

String9 (Ye of the thinking faith and divine rage)

one gave
to two extended
now continuous
of the duty

two freed three
pushing onto
the gates
everyone sees

three shining
on the fourth
day that creation
sings

five are we
and more
will ease
only in proportion

String8

Dialogue
of faith
open to and fro

living
thunder of
raging proportion

do not forget
the supple ways
of evening

at the three of
the gates

String7

Above the rain
the shine
the rose
your shoe

Suede moments
grinding
a curtain
easily removed

When will
you live again

These are
the dying
of the first travels
and the way
to go

String6

Hearing
they say
of the impossible
three are we
free and humbled
of the shining path

Seeing her face
I choose to believe

not a trace
not a doubt

convinced to loss
committed to joy

these are the rules
that change

blessed are we
of the thinking faith

String5 (after Courtnage)

The chord sounds
of the eternal

The song rages
of the freedom

The vibrations soar
of the faith

If you can hear

it is impossible
to fall

Shining Path

I just went to Burma to renew my visa. Made some new freinds. I might start working here at the Sanctuary which would mean staying here for three months and postponing India until then. I took an introductory shamanix course and I can't beleive how strong I am now. If I stayed here I could take many more yoga courses, learn tai chi, learn reiki more thai boxing and more teachings from the Shaman. So many powerful powerfull powerfull people here. So many beautiful devine moments. This must be a higher plane. I wish you were all here with me now and yet you are.

String4 (after Courtnage)

There are twenty-six
dimensions
and he was in
eleven
of them
reborn of the
old memories
sounding faint
roaring alive
boisterous
and no thoughts
but the thinking
thing

String3 (Thee are we)

Appearing
sound of
the thinking
faith

Blessed are
we of the
things in-between

We of the
thinking three
in these times
of divination

Destruction Quotes

"Love works in miracles every day: such as weakening the strong, and strengthening the weak; making fools of the wise, and wise men of fools; favouring the passions, destroying reason, and in a word, turning everything topsy-turvy." Marguerite de Valois

"Self-pity is easily the most destructive of the nonpharmaceutical narcotics; it is addictive, gives momentary pleasure and separates the victim from reality." John W(illiam) Gardner

"If a man destroys the eye of another man, they shall destroy his eye." Hammurabi

"But man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not defeated." Ernest Miller Hemingway

"Rhythm is the basis of life, not steady forward progress. The forces of creation, destruction, and preservation have a whirling, dynamic interaction." Kabbalah

"There is a theory of societal evolution that goes like this: Barbarians invent a new culture. A middle class emerges to manage and help perpetuate the culture. An aristocracy eventually develops out of the middle class and devotes their energies to making things comfortable for themselves. Finally, a new set of barbarians smash everything apart and destroy the status quo so that the process must start all over again." Alan Cross

"To him everything was in process of destruction, everything was in process of construction. This is called tranquility in disturbance. Tranquility in disturbance means that it is especially in the midst of disturbance that [tranquility] becomes perfect." Chuang Tzu

Altruism

PICT0005, originally uploaded by The Stranger.

Shamanism is humankind's most ancient and universal system of harmonious and mindful living, also known as walking in beauty. Shamanism has no scriptures or sacred writings to revere or to be (mis)interpreted, only the book of Nature- by looking into that wonder with an open heart one can learn all of life's Mysteries.

Learn to relate to the tides, the rythems and the pulse of the earth, to experience a one-ness with it and the source of one's own being.

Journeying and other Shamanic techniques all aim to examine one's power. Loss of power results in disease. "Power" to the Shaman is no about having a big gun or a lot of money, but rather is about being respoinsible for one's own life and one's own happiness.

The first lesson of the adept is to control the upsurge of altruism and not make a nuisance of oneself by trying to force everyone else to be happy.

String2 (can you hear me)

The discordant
bending upon
itself to sound
the string eternal
and the magnificent
chord sprang the
song of age
moving chance
through time

String1

One
extended
to two
folded
into
three
and in
a few steps
the chord
to sing
of love
one more
time
before
I go

The land of honey (It was a time never forgotten)
