harry redl

--harry redl, self-portrait:

redl was from austria (i think) but lived and worked in canada for many years in logging camps and elsewhere. many years photographing the war in vietnam. before that though, he photographed the "beat generation" for years: all the biggies; ginsberg, kerouac, burroughs, bukowski, etc.

so the dude with the camera is redl; the other pic is american poet alan ginsberg. looks a bit like a young kristian enright, no?

I think I spotted kristian enright at a times show last night. he was incognito.

this feels like a wolfboy post, but nev er under estimate the power of the dangerman....never.

one of the last interviews with ginsberg I saw was great. He spent the last 10 minutes playing accordion singing "die when you die" over and over and over
