The Montreal public health department estimates burning a wood stove for nine hours is the equivalent of driving a midsize car for a year, or about 18,000 kilometres of driving.
I was confused too, I just thought it was a bold and interesting statement, like this is bad but this is more bad. I wonder what burning a big oil painting si the equivalent to?

Now imagine billions and billions of wood stoves, ahem, cars, running for 10 years straight.
F'n wood stoves, who knew they were the culprit.
I friggin hate cars so much I want to writhe.
Equivalent in what way? So is the point that wood stoves are really bad?
I'm confused.
