I don't think you need a Tucan, everyone seems to look at my non-representationals, and see birds, even though they are not there intentionally.

This reminds me of a carpet in an old art deco hotel I stayed at in Miami on Ocean Drive.

I like it. I hate it.

Thanks for posting it, these are my favorite kinds of posts...fresh art.

You know what I think you should do? Start painting in encaustic. Get some panels/boards, buy some beeswax and some pigment in powder form and voila! I think you'd be a natural, and it'sall about mixing the colors as you go. do it, I dare you.

It's kind of feathery already I think. I like Lorne's idea. It seems like a really good idea. Make something you plan to break. I wonder how hard it would be to actually make the Tucan disappear. Getting back to non-representation would certainy take you down a unique path if you started with a big froot-loop loving bird.

Follow your nose, it always knows.

I will research the encaustic thing, sounds like fun. Will also research the spelling of toucan lol. As for making and breaking an image, that's how all my work goes. This was a female nude at one point. I'll take a break from it. See if anything hits me in a week.

I'm also extremely tempted to do a inkblot interpretation here.

=P
