Untitled
Since if I sit where you sit
And you sit where I sit
The world is fragile enough to shatter
Waiting
grassy dew and shine
I've sat not so
destroying those around me
Waiting energy
of wonder brought
In union of the union blessed
be the front
of me
I have wondered in
reading act and sin
Waiting for the one
simple beat
I've been waiting
Trying to Quit
it only comes from within
the glorious raging proportion
that is magical place we live

certainty
Apparently this kid called the Karmapa who's also really holy, one of those characters that have been reborn countless times in the same religious role, has built this massive bhudist temple in Woodstock and His Holiness is going to drop by for a visit and drink some wild turkey and shoot the shite.
Ill try to take some pictures.
Robert Nero, Naturalist

My grandfather, Robert Nero, moved to Regina from Madison, Wisconsin in the 1950s with his young family, including my mother who was just an infant at the time. They later moved to Winnipeg, where he worked for the rest of his life as a wildlife researcher, as well as a semi-amateur archaeologist. In the 1980s he rescued an abandoned baby owl and took it home to raise. For more than two decades this owl, named Lady Gray'l, lived in a pen in his backyard and travelled throughout the province educating people on our environment and the need to protect it. For a little more information, click here and scroll to the bottom of the page. You can click on any of the above photos to see a slideshow of a few photos of mine taken at my grandparent's house.
End of Summer
I am relunctant, I have not yet been given a sign, like an infant yet unable to laugh; unquiet, roving as if I had no home. All men have abundance, only I am forgotten. I have the heart of a fool; so confused, so dark. Men of the world are shining, alas, so shining, bright. Only I am as if locked into myself. Unquiet, alas, like the sea, turbulent, alas, unceasingly.
Can I wipe my dark mirror free of dust?
I have neither Guru nor initiation. I have no discipline and no duty to perform. Understand that Im the formless sky. Im the self-existent purity.
The cherub with his flaming sword is hereby commanded to leave his guard at the tree of life, and when he does the whole creation will be consumed and appear infinite and holy whereas it now appears finite and corrupt.
Learning Martial arts means self assurance, not arrogance. My confidence makes me meek, and humble. It is impossible to annoy me because I know I cannot be harmed. I know I can fight but I remain free of violence.
Originally, humanity's energy channels were completely opened. Human beings were capable of flight, prodigious strength, and psychic knowledge. The Gods placed three gates in the body. Im going to shatter these gates.
I move after the enemy but arrive before him.
Im a man of dark secrets. A mountain lion;ready when the beat hits.
A Baboon.
Other people are bright. I alone am dark. Other people have purpose; I alone don't. Because I have no goal in mind, everything I do succeeds.
Other people are excited, as though they were at a parade. I alone don't care.
The strong do not die a natural death.

untitled 06-09-13
don't be denied
all that's coming to you
in the blink of an eye
see past the lies
see into the truth
if we can't work it out
if we scream and we shout
and nothing will ever change
don't you think that it's strange
we can't rearrange
our hearts for our brains
it's a simple mistake
you give and you take
it bends and it breaks
as you try to repair
the littlest tear
oh, the damage it makes
when the damage is done
and you're on the run
and you don't even know why
throw your hands to the sky
would you deny?
an empty reply
- lyrics from a new song I'm working on
Behind Her Words
there are syllables,
curling up among
each literal phrase
a purring kitten
of affectionate subtext.
There are words
behind her words,
wrapping around
all naked statements
a bear skin rug
of warm possibility.
Inside her expressions
are expressions,
hypnotically accompanying
every plain avowal
a singing Siren
of irresistible charm.
Within her language
there is language,
snuggling between
any ordinary inquiry
a pretty child
of endless wonder.

Lorne is a stupid poo-bum face
Here's a letter that appeared in the Free Press today, exposing our very own Wolfboy as a fraud.
No signs of gentrification

Does Lorne Roberts know what urban gentrification really is? I am familiar with the West Broadway neighbourhood and it is nowhere near gentrified. How many trendy cafes and upscale boutiques have you seen pop up along that strip? Are bachelor apartments going for $1,500 a month like in the recently gentrified neighbourhood of New York City's East Village? No. Even in neighbouring Wolseley you can still get a one-bedroom apartment for under $400 a month, and the stores and services along West Broadway are mostly the same as they were a decade ago. I know a number of students who can afford to live comfortably in West Broadway and they are by no means high-income earners.
I've recently become confused by the attitudes of younger Winnipeggers who want to be part of a happening urban neighbourhood like Montreal's Plateau-Mont Royal. But when property values rise slightly, they scream gentrification.
Inner-city Winnipeg has many problems, but gentrification is not one of them.
