The Group of Seven Canoe Trip

So there's a canoe trip being planned for the summer where a bunch of artists will go out into the wilderness with sketchboxes in hand and create some painting sketches in the style/manner of the group of seven. Who's interested? Tentative date: Either end of July or in the late fall. Click on the link above for some interesting info on the group which includes sound bytes and tv episodes.

Whew!
I'm off at the end of July, but the late fall one would probably be pretty damn cool for visuals.

I think late july might just work...so far we have mr.pancoe, james culleton, david macri, justin waterman, que why, dangerman(?), Ike Friesen(?)..I think we'd need eight to make it even in the canoes...unless the trip has two really big canoes...(4 or 5 in each)

hmmmm...very interesting.

Franklin Carmichael, Lawren Harris, A. Y. Jackson, Frank Johnston, Arthur Lismer, J. E. H. MacDonald, and Frederick Varley. Tom Thomson (who died in 1917) and Emily Carr were also closely associated with the Group of Seven, though neither were ever official members.

Iron out the fine print. Hopefully I have a new vehicle by then. I'm currently fighting the power of becoming a van man.
