I can't believe you did this
you disgusting son of a bitch
it ain't worth it
and how desperate are you
that you do desperate things
rationalizing like a bug
that sees something
and moves there with no
consideration of between
the fire in your eyes
that blinds you from within

brimstone!
and I don't mean that pejoratively.
brimstone: burning and purifying agent.
I don't recall anyone ever using brimstone pejoratively - but they should!
I was trying to guard against him thinking that I was invoking "fire and brimstone", the term that is used to describe a type of preaching or message given to scare people into doing something...I guess I didn't want him to think I was calling this poem a scare tactic or anything.
that term is used pejoratively.
but I'm all for using brimstone pejoratively...
:)
"preaching or message given to scare people into doing something"
That actually sounds like me anyways, heh, heh.
I like the idea of using it as an epithet.
"hey, you brimstone!"
so, do we get some context for this piece, or...?
ouch, I'd had to be on the receiving end of this one. Although, quite often, anything said is more or less a mirror to oneself. hmmm.
