This is a friend of mine, Joe Craven. He is so awesome, words cannot describe his gusto for life and music and art. I just found this on the net and thought I would share it with y'all.
I really liked the talk up here, his motivational energy is obvious.
Although I checked out a few other videos and although he is obviously a very talented man, I didn't really enjoy what I saw. Trying too hard to be cool? Is that possible?
I only say this knowing that his joy is found in making his music and does not rely on what I think. He's obviously having a great time speaking his mind and having fun with his music. What could be more important?
If you met him, you'd love him. He is quite genuine actually. I just found out he runs this music camp too, every August, for people of all ages, and gets them excited and involved in music and art. Makes artists of the non-believers. Now that's art re-enforcement.
i checked out his bio and he seems like a pretty cool guy to me. his stuff here isn't really my cup of tea but i don't think i'm in his target demographic anyway... i really admire his message and i'm glad that there are people willing to preach it to those who can digest it in that form.
