I've been thinking about that a lot Davo, the idea of using some of dru's sketches as starting points for paintings...and of course I'll up his allowance for this!
It would be very interesting. I wonder if I kept it very true to the original if he'd look at it and go "Dru's painting?"
You can see one that Olivia and I did on the out of orbit blog, one of the first posts. We've also done collages, super fun, Olivia is much more of an artist than I am. :)
A Love for Art was a collaborative blog for visual artists, musicians, writers, and social scientists. This blog has evolved into a new blog called BETA, go check it out!

Dru's way more subtle then the rest. He incorporates dots, while the others are just wandering lines. The boy clearly has talent.

that chloe kid's got something too, though. i like the cat/glove fusion.
dru seems to be going more for the non-representational. i would describe his style as, uh, painterly.
I am in agreement with wolfboy! That middle one (portrait axis) is excellent. What would that be like as a painting (I mean with oils)?
