Revenge of the Kaoss Machine

Perhaps the most striking feature of chaos magic is the concept of the magical paradigm shift. the technique of arbitrarily changing one's model (or paradigm) of magic a major concept of chaos magic.

The idea is that belief is a tool that can be applied at will rather than unconsciously. Some chaos magicians think that trying unusual, and often bizarre beliefs is in itself an experience worth having and consider flexibility of belief a form of power or freedom in a cybernetic sense of the word.

The gnostic state is achieved when a person's mind is focused on only one point, thought, or goal and all other thoughts are thrust out. Users of chaos magic each develop their own ways of reaching this state. Some of the most prominent techniques are prolonged meditation, the use of mind-altering drugs, self-inflicted pain and orgasm. All such methods hinge on the belief that a simple thought or direction experienced during the gnostic state and then forgotten quickly afterwards is sent to the subconscious rather than the conscious mind where it can be enacted through means unknown to the conscious mind.

Belief as a tool. The tool that released human consciousness. Yes!

Praise the six fingered hand!

multi-directional, all ways at once. flexible like the monkey.

I do this often, meditate on extending myself into others' lives (for direct impact of course), and some results have come out of it, I think.

Ye be to the hand as you are to the hand.

Let us give praise.

This to me is very interesting:

To move in all directions qua knowing, presents the imminent consequence of epistemic relativism in our reality (i.e. the fact that there appears to be no one single truth and the subsequent violence that has resulted in our thinking and being in and of the world)

But the fact that it appears that we can extend from a base, presents the ontological imminence as well.

I believe.

So it is not that: since things can be known in many different ways they become different in themselves, or meaningless, otherwise a lack of a hold on what can really be.

Things more accurately contain a multitudinality in themselves, at once containing a singular essence (apparently produced through the combination of many essences and the multitudinous ways it can be) and hinging in all directions in its relationality.

So, it is that: what there really is is what is being known, regardless of how many ways it can be known.

And this, as already inferred, appears to be stratified, holographic, fluid, and changing, among the many other things it can be.

But again, the more useful conclusion to draw is that this can only lead to the grounding of something that most definitely is.

Descartes doubt of things was thus not the best way to approach our deep questions.

Faith actually is.

I believe this solves many human problems, as well as many philosophical ones too.

Maybe I should videotape myself lecturing like this and stream it on the web. That'll be the web page, among all the other multitudinality that is!

:)

If we were bold enough to admit that, at times, we subconsciously steer our lives with the will of expectations(proved by reoccuring outcomes), and perpetuate our own misery, then by that rational we could admit, not only do we suffer mostly by our own hands, but we have the power to change it, and prosper freely. Like the sign on the church by the Label that said 'anyone may drink freely from the fountain of life'. In other words change your future with what you expect. Have faith that life will bring you the excitement of challenge and change in a smorgasboard of experiences. Having faith brings the Joy of unification. Being at one with all directions, means you can't go to the 'wrong' place.

Faith. Hmmm. I like the discussion going on here. Faith: confidence in something without proof, or the opposite, faithless, not adhering to promises, vows or duty.

What is our duty as artists? As people?

So, figure out where you want to go, and make plans to get there?

Seeing is unseeing, and overseeing. You can't remove the subjective from perception, everytone has their own perceptions.

Open to opportunities, like the crocodile, in wait, floating and waiting for the moment. That perfect space in time.

Is faith not delusion? It's like delusion with a rainbow and a smiley face.

I don't think Faith is "confidence in something with no proof". I think it's knowing where to find the proof.
