"We're here because
we're here because
we're here because we're here

we're here because
we're here because
we're here because we're here."

Marching song, sung by Canadian soldiers in the First World War, to the tune of "Auld Lang Syne"

"Everything changes but change itself"

-Confucious

The universe is not "holding together". It is opening in a widening gyre. Even your whirling electrons imply change (in position, hence the whirling). The state of the universe is change. Even our proximity to the sun, in our precious solar system, has changed (the earth quake that caused the recent tsunami "changed" our orbital path).

A rock growing moss is changing and so is a quiet monk contemplating. Adaptability remember? Change is the key! It is always present, whether we know and affect it or not.

Wish you could change it, eh roberts? Unfortunately you can't CHANGE comments on the blog.

I suppose a people's fear of change is their constant quest for security and stablity in life.
