The Art of Jim Baillie
These are some paintings done by a good friend of my dad's, Mr. Jim Baillie. He's a Winnipeg artist. Most of this work was done in the late 70s, early 80s, though I believe he still continues to paint. All of these paintings are hanging in various rooms in my home, and we enjoy them thoroughly! The paintings shown in this blog entry occupy our master bedroom, and the last here is a detail of his 'signature' from one.

I like the one with a mother and two children.
Wow, your lucky to have such cool art in your home. I love artists who give their work away (assuming you didn't buy them all).
I didn't buy them myself, but I'm pretty sure my dad bought them off him, or perhaps *traded* something of value...
I, too, like that one of the family. I like how the child in the back is completely in shadow, and the circular something in the background...
Hello, I suspect this is the same Jim Baillie I knew from the early 70s, who painted a picture of Red Cloud, the famous Indian chief, which I still have. I was researching to find him because I want to release this painting now. I have been storing it for over 50 years. I found an obituary notice in the Free Press Memorials and left a comment for his family if anyone is interested in having this beautiful painting.
