Are these the same ones as before? I didn't realize they were figurative, Ill have to go back and check the earlier stage. I get your meaning here with the little black stripes, but that's not needed, you know that. Also it reminded me of thorneycroft's influence on her students, and how censorship itself becomes the subject for art (and knack being a student of hers also responded to this in various ways). Ultimately, you are being drawn into that camp with James and the others when you make art like this or intentionally shocking (IMO).
very interesting. It becomes a very powerful piece with your edits.
Macro makes it sound like you're in bad company Waterman, but don't let his detractions fool you. There are a lot of artists out there(echo?) that use this form of expression. William Kendrich or I even think of television, when they do the voice overs or blurred sillouettes too, blurring identity.
It also makes me think of that elusive Wolfboy's work, cropping and blocking out, collage about risky business. Art babble que-est-ce que c'est?
A Love for Art was a collaborative blog for visual artists, musicians, writers, and social scientists. This blog has evolved into a new blog called BETA, go check it out!

There`s something much worse than nudity going on in the painting on the right, but it wasn`t on the list.

nah, it looks way better without the stripes. That`ll be for public consumption.
Hey! What did I say that was "detractions" ! Read my comment again mister JC. I didn't say I didn't like thorney or anything (in fact I do).
Being drawn into the 'camp' , lured...into the lair of dooooooooom!
Get real.

Nice work... where is the gold leaf?
