“Sleeping Giants” Provides Fresh Injection of Ideas and Energy to Exchange Art Scene
Winnipeg, MB – Next Thursday, a trio of local artists stand poised to blow the top off the notoriously competitive Exchange District art scene, with a triple injection of passion and fresh ideas. Awaking from a winter-long slumber, Greg Oakes, Shouresh Jalili, and Rodrigo Pradel, emerge artistically refreshed and revitalized from their brief period of hibernation. Their “Sleeping Giants” show represents the rebirth of the hardworking alumni of the critically acclaimed Albert Hub floating gallery, as they settle into lush, new creative space in the Exchange. As ever, the artists encourage all members of the community to join them on the next leg of their creative journey, hosting a grand opening party at Studio Pradel. Located at 137 Bannatyne Ave, Studio Pradel opens its doors at 8PM, on Thursday April 5th. Climb the back steps to the 4th floor, for a no-cover showing of the new work and complimentary wine and cheese.
