the guy that put this together is named david. he used to live in winnipeg but left for los vegas back in the late 70s (booze, women and warmer weather). he comes back to winnipeg most every winter so he can (legally) travel to cuba for vacation. ;) so basically the film footage is him and his pals just goofing around he told me. i'm assuming he had the camera most of the time since he was the one that compiled the footage. it's brilliant eh? i love that raw quality of super 8,... it's so powerful even without audio, so animated, so much more life to it! it really does kick ass!! follow the link and check out the rest of his silly videos. there are a few other videos (modern day camcorder) with winnipeg reference that you may enjoy. glad you liked the post. i have to thank brian hodgert for sending me this in the first place.
