ALert! Over use of word empathy, be warned. What motor mimicry instead of empathy is what I'm trying to say,, I just want to collaborate with you. Please, pretty please. You could even say motor mimetics, but that might be going to far. (motor mimicry compliments of the American College Dictionary, 1947, you should smell this book, it reaks of age).

I thought dropping motor in there might 'factorize' the poem a bit. I dunno, I just make pictures and noise, what do I know about poems, especially yours!

So you don't like?

No, I especially like it. Whoa, lots of typos in my last comment, I should read them before I post.

What I was saying is use 'motor mimicry' in place of empathy. Not because I don't like it, silly doctor, but because I think it would be a wonderful addition.

I like 'strata' and social relations poems, but I need some reference to the industrial world. But hey, I'm just a little sparrow, whispering in your ear, disregard if you so choose.

I also like your three stanza poemes, or triptychs, they're fascinating, almost like song for me. The first stanza could be a chorus, non?

Resource redistribution clearly speaks to industry, and while I like 'motor mimicary,' and I will use it I guarantee, it changes the meaning.

If you can think of something that relates to or points to empathy, I will of course consider it.

When does empathy become possesion?

J C said...

empathy: mental entering into the feeling or spirit of a person or thing; appreciative perception or understanding; motor mimicry.

motor mimicry defines empathy

Chien, clearly speaking to industry would even be clearer with this definition of empathy. It unites the paragraph. Listen to it below...

telling you
that leadership
is empathy,
motor mimicry
in resource
redistribution

fuck, that sounds awesome! ;)

Can empathy ever become possession?

In a sense, through empathy, I try to 'possess' the experience of the other, thus my understanding of them and their predicament.

So this means that empathy is defined in part by possession, but I still don't like it.

Maybe empathy is possession insofar as it means accepting responsibility for others and their experiences.

We are clearly all related-dominion-interconnected-divine-free-spirit-one-jah, no?

empathy is consumerism! I knew it.

Thats not the way I translate it.

I think part of true empathy is understanding, that you can't really totally understand someone else, it is to understand their prevelant helpless isolation. We are unique parts of a whole (like snowflakes in a blizzard).
