This painting was recently impaled by a guitar (don`t ask). So I`m just giving the image a cyber send off from happier times. I`m not aware of any canvas repair methods. The hole is in between them.....hmm. Maybe it just finished itself.....?
I remember repairing a whole in a canvas with another small piece of canvas and a generous helping of acrylic. imperceptible. I wonder how that piece is doing now, it was an albatross.
If you're going to sew, sew on some nipples while you're at it. :)

I have repaired and seen canvases repaired with some thread and paint . If you use acrylic it works real good.
