It wa the best! He had a lunchtime show on cky for years. It was him and a bunch of sock puppets. Totally politically incorrect stuff by today`s standards. He was the town drunk. He`d perform "adult' puppet shows at parties, visit sick kids and do their moms. Of course the latter could be lore, i`ve no confirmation. I was just excited to hear him say "Happy Birthday HYUK HYUK!" to me on tv one year.
Ah yes Uncle Bob. Those were the days of good tv. This had to be the best noon hour kids show in the day. For adults too for that matter. Tv now is so flooded with crap kids shows. Here's to you Uncle Bob and Archie Wood.lol.
A Love for Art was a collaborative blog for visual artists, musicians, writers, and social scientists. This blog has evolved into a new blog called BETA, go check it out!
