Response

It's in
the lanugo
soft contour
radiating
the power
of being
light
meeting
in the
middle

There's no
one left
to forget
what we
used
to know

Hearing
you say
holding
him

It's in
the way
it bursts
black sheen
joyful
presence
the weight
of a loss
no one
knows

As the
day grows
dim
holding
him
holding
him

Lanugo hairs? There's this baby I know named Layla who had a full head of Lanugo at birth, monkey baby, so cute.

This poem made me laugh and smile.

And then it hit me with a feeling of remorse. the holding him, holding him part was a song of lonlieness.

And that's just the half of it!

Stirred up great emotions, thank you good doctor!
