Have you seen the Riel comic bio by Chester Brown? It's pretty good. I gave a copy to my American (Mississippi) cousins whose parents are from here, so they can get to know their roots.

I'd like to see that too. My first exposure to louis was the Rielisme show at the WAG where J.Funnel made a Fiction/Biography series of drawings. It was very interesting.

According to a CBC article, 1985 was the year that the Canadian Constitution recognized the Métis Nation.
