moment

were i Borges-eyed
and gazing out
i would remember
me warm
you sweet
and in tandem
distilling the liquor
of our moment alone
surrounded by biography.

Is this a remanisance
of a pair of young lovers
getting it on between the stacks
(or possibly in one of those little
hidden break-out rooms)
in the U of W library?
Because that's what I instantly
invisioned (not that I ever did
anything like that).
In any case,
it sounds like study time
well spent ;)

I like the simplicity of this, and it still comes off with lovely impact.

interesting take, o disc. i thought of "biography" as referring to one's own lifetime of baggage, but i like yr reading of it too.
