I just woke up from a really scary dream. I love this painting and so decided to post it. Anyone else like this one?

I wrote a whole song based on this pic back in the `90`s
"your incubus is coming, tonight
riding through the darkness, of tonight...."

This is pretty creepy but I like it.
:)

It reminds me of something called "lucid dreaming" or "sleep paralysis", often the sufferers report the hallucination of an "old hag" or witch sitting on their chest and being unable to move. The old hag story was reported as far back as the middle ages...apparently the cause is just an overlap of REM sleep and waking, (the body keeps itself paralyzed in REM sleep so we don't act out our dreams, but sometimes the paralysis lasts a few seconds into being in a waking state, hence the hallucinations etc.)

That's what a psych degree will getcha.
