Abstraction (after Ghandi)

people flow in the
avenues of living lust

defying all proof and
ordinary in a limited sense

Nothing else sees
pure the living truth

love

the supreme
good

We are synchronized.

I spent Christmas eve with locals. My new friend Jay took me to the department store to watch throngs of people (really, a wall-to wall mass, wrything like a horde of insects) hustling to buy the latests trinkets and gadgets to offer to the holiday gods). Next we went to a 'korean pub' with his University friends. It was one of the best nights yet. The women complimented me by comparing me to various western movie stars (common practice here) and the men took pleasure in teaching me Korean (including some riske drinking slang). Many questions about english came up, but most noticably I struggled to explain the meaning of "abstraction" and "lust". I needed to explain 'lust' when I compared one of thier cheers to Iggy Pop's line, "lust for life". I needed to explain 'abstrtaction' because I drew pencil portraits of the girls, but blind contoured the men. "Picasso!" they exclaimed.

So Christmas was not alone. Jah brought me love, and happiness.
Praise be.
