Ok, I see it here. Human-ness. These are the photos that strike me with the club of truth. Unsuspecting sincerity, attentive skyward gazes, innocence abstracted by light and shadow, and love peering through the lense into the hungry artists eye.
or....the detractors might say this is opportunistic nepotism, complete disregard for people's privacy, and the inability to remove oneself from their art. but detractors suck.and are usually hacks. :)
beautiful images, especially the little boy. the one of your father is brilliant too.I was staring at one of the carlos heads at the label the other day, eyes wide open, catatonic, and full of wonderment.
I hope you have never felt this way about the pictures I have taken of you and your family. I know I can over do it sometimes, but it's because I care to capture the raging beauty that surrounds me.
A Love for Art was a collaborative blog for visual artists, musicians, writers, and social scientists. This blog has evolved into a new blog called BETA, go check it out!
