Carpe Diem

Burning of cold,
whispering knowledge
yet unformed
clay, flesh and stone.

I draw no lines
yet I am so
set in my way,
so rigidly defined.

Am a difficult man
to inspire higher
my far away eyes,
parted indifferent smile.

Her gaze pure and true,
through me into you
a moment taken and kept
to love and protect.

Fear no mirror my love, my medusa
Fear nothing now I've found you.

Seize the head? :)

'Inpire higher' has a nice ring to it.

Anyone else have some medusa inspired work?

The words in the first stanza are almost palpable, great stuff.

i'm interested in yr "classic" style. rhyme, metre, romance, tragedy, etc.

and what a heavy duty ending.

now spend six months editing this. or write fifty more on the same theme. and then edit them.
