I think pro photographers are usually nothing more than people who are in the right place at the right time. beauty with light is all around us.
(there is a little technical skill, don't get me wrong)

Please don't diminish photographers, they are as valid as painters. The technical mumbo jumbo that goes with skilled photographers would make your head spin!

No diminishment here Macro. Like any cultural producer(artist), I think the skill must go beyond the technical. it's about letting yourself see.

and putting yourself in situations that allow art making. in front of a canvas or with a camera at sunset or wherever inspiration can be found.
