Loveless Winter

One November night
I dreamt I was you
Out a third story window
I carefully passed through
The cold and ice
a treacherous gate
branches aching
beneath my weight
I wore shoes but no socks
ankles exposed to the air
I climbed to a nest
but no egg was there.

Weird. My phot host thing wont work, so I was forced to post one of my mediocre poems instead, hehe. Also I noticed our adds changed from all Saddam stuff,to persimmons. Is this coincidence or does it somehow do stuff related to our blog? I'll try and post again tomorrow I guess.

bye.

I think you're right about how the ads mirror stuff we write about on the blog, Dave. It must have picked up on the Saddam reference in your comment because the ads are all back to that. Very strange. By the way I like your poem too, it's kind of Edgar Allen Poe-ish.
