Is this buildable?

I was considering doing it in trees rather than rock...but would they survive?

probably they would. you should do it, man-- you're our land artist, after all.

look up marius boezem-- i think that's his name. anyway, he does "tree cathedrals", where he replicates the floor plans of european cathedrals with trees. i'll try to find a link.

If you did it in trees, then it would need time to grow, unless of course you are going to replant some big ones.

And what about the pruning?

And if you will do it in stones, that's gonna be some heavy work, likely requiring some heavy equipment.

Pancoe is only so strong!
