A friend of mine recently sent me a pic of this one that I never documented. It feels great to look back on stuff like this, no matter how cheesy. It's about 3' x 5'
Hmmm. I'm not sure. I remember painting in my parents garage, it seems my studios are always in basements or garages. I remember struggling with this painting, it was a commission, and it was finsihed a number of times. And like many of my figurative group portraits, some figures I liked doing and others were a challenge. I I were to paint it again today, I think the ground would have been broken up with some texture, and even the wolves would have been hairier, like more brush strokes of different colors. But...not to say that these looser strokes don't work. I think the painting works. and it reminds me that I can paint in few different ways. Canadian Nostalgia indeed.
