thanks everyone! yeah, there's something i like about the b&w as well. even though my intent was to have it coloured from the start i do find it a wee bit busy, but hey, that's my style for ya. ;) it was done only a few days before the deadline; my original attempt was an acrylic painting on illustration board which failed miserably because i was in such a rush. there's still some wonky things about the colour version that i wanna change but if i keep tweaking it i may just mess it up and regret it later. i'll just hold tight to see if i get in the book or not and then i'll consider last minute changes. another artist friend said he liked the wet beaver riding the snake innuendo (fishy? *groan*)! ;) ha-ha *sigh* thanks again for your support! ~go

I think I like the second b/w sketch better than the color. I'm not sure I can explain why...very cool, I like all the tongues.

I think you may have lost the humps in the background with the colour version.
