I took some really bad photos of a new painting of mine, and this was what I could salvage. In this piece I revisit the look of a previous painting I did of a place out in the brokenhead. Veyr similar to the line paintings of previous, the tree sillouettes create a tension between line and background, mainly because the background is painted after the tree is in place. My favorite areas of this painting(like in the bottom right of this detail) show clusters of dots and lines breaking each other apart. For me, this functions as a visual reverb. It vibrates.

must get hard to follow the branch directions. It looks frustatingly fun. I might try the technique.
It's actually very meditative. The filling in of the color is especially soothing.
it looks soothing. like colouring in a colouring book, I'm developing a penchant for that lately.
