Just between you and I, I think it was the plate of dates and the milk photo which started it for us, which predates all of your pictures, unless of course you have something from childhood.:)
I would agree with you though, that for a few moments in your photographic career you did try this technique, but alas, neither of us can even joke about inventing it. I think Thorneycroft was the first person I saw do this well, although Dali did some cool stuff too. Can you think of anyone else?
well, you had once mentioned that you invented this technique, and i was copying. earlier on this blog. a while back. so now i was just kind of being silly.
but i actually picked up the trick from james smith, back in the 90's, who used to do this on his manual.
James Smith! I haven't seen that guy in ages, although I think I saw him at folkfest in the food line and then I blinked and he was gone.
And yeah, I taught him that trick.
What completely amazes me is how much we ALL copy each other. I can site instances of this in everybody I know. It's beautiful and it makes us all resonate as one.
A Love for Art was a collaborative blog for visual artists, musicians, writers, and social scientists. This blog has evolved into a new blog called BETA, go check it out!

I invented both of you.

I never said I invented this technique. I may have said I introduced it to wolfboy, but that was after I taught him to speak French and Spanish.
