Should We Be Scared?

This is a chart of Canadian gas prices (national average, Winnipeg's average price has never strayed very far from the average for very long). I had to go back 4 years to find prices as low as they are today... and even going back 6 years, the farthest available at the site I got this from, there is nothing like the drop in prices that we've seen over the past couple of weeks...

P.S. Sorry there is very little art content in this post!

To me, we're headed into a depression.

Aside from the hard times for many, I think we should rejoice, as out of depression comes a will to be better.

We can be better, and it is time.

I h-te oil.

F-ck oil.

I can't wait 'til the day we devalue oil so much, that we'll laugh and think, crazy that we used that sh-t for nrg when we have the magneto-light thingamobob that is great for the environment.

We can do it.

Down with oil!

And in my opinion, this is art.

The art of nature, graphed on a page.

To think us so arrogant that somehow we think we can control such a monster.

Pragmatic art, most definitely. We're in a recession/depression. Tighten the belts, put on an extra sweater and get to work!

wow, a "magneto-light thingamobob" you say...

Well, get to work then, it's not going to invent itself.

just jokes, somebody here must already have one in the back of their closet or something. hehe

As was reading these comments, I was smiling at the fact that I love the idea of a "magneto-light thingamobob". As my eyes scroll down to the bottom, I notice my word verification = bless.

how could i not post.

except I had to change the username so I lost the page with the magic word. This time it's gatnesi!

still cool.

Bless gatnesi and the "magneto-light thingamobob"
down with oil!
I want a magic bus to travel in that uses only "magneto-light thingamobob".

Oh, and I just bought the cheapest half-tank of gas I've bought in, well, four years I guess! As someone who travels frequently (and spends $Ks on gas), let me tell you it is a nice feeling, however bad an economic sign it may be...
