this was a recent fun night out of being tourists in Wpg-- first, dinner at Affinity Vegetarian, then wandering around downtown taking pics of buildings, sunsets, public art and fountains. The End.
Did you know that big sculpture by Gordon Reeves in front of the law courts is kenetic? You can move it. It is how law should work ideally, as it can change form if people try to affect it.
did you also know that Mr.Reeves threatened to sue the city unless they gave him the commission for his kinetic sculpture(kinetic is a fancy art word for moving). I think it was a situation where they had a call to artists, he responded, and then they decided not to do it, and he said he'd sue them. I think bruce head told me that story, truth or fiction? Talk about laws moving!
Well that story sounds Reevesque, and it would definately explain this clause in the current "call to artists":
"The Winnipeg Arts Council reserves the right to choose to not recommend any application, proposal or finalist and to terminate or re-advertise any project."
