Even though we january tonight
she wants to christmas
meaning:
accept in my cupped hands
her tokens
pebbles, pennies, a heart shaped seashell
all found in a change purse I’d long forgotten to empty.
“and this is mine” she proclaims
looking pleased as fingertips
reading red, gold, white
beads patterned familiar
with two slow smiles we april triumphant.

I received a painted rock from my yard years ago. It`s one of my most cherished possesions.
yeah, i really like that effect as well.
Olivia gave me "talking stones" this summer; an amazing gift.
i love the "and this is mine" line. and the idea of stones that talk.
she wants to christmas
meaning.
