Sky is right, they're both true. If the first statement says the second one is false, then the first statement must be true. The same happens when you look at the second statement in regards to the first.
But the more I think about it, they are both true and false at the same time.
I guess this was a trick question. It's giving me an epistemological headache

They are both true to the spirit of logic, but neither is true to the spirit of communication!
