Congrats. I am one among many, I'm sure, who have wanted to do the same thing, but never made it past the first few pages or maybe chapters. Good for you!

There's a sound effect for that type of huge accomplishment, i just can't pinpoint exactly the proper spelling but it's sorta like Whoosh-hooeeeha

So what about tree planting? Is it a character who goes treeplanting, do they get stung by mosquitos? Do they make lots of money? Fall in love? Dicover the dark side of the industry? Become enlightened and ascend to heaven?

Can you give us a sneak preview/snippit/plot summary, or do we have to wait till we buy the book?

When/where do buy the book =) ?

Conratulations!

You are still stupid and ugly. Go Packers.

Lorne Roberts said...

ha! very funny krahn. thanks for all the well-wishes.

answers: I feel super-released, and younger.

sanity and wits are so-so, but seem to be improving.

plot: a promising young business graduate is forced to choose between his two conflicting world views--one the desire for wealth, a desire that is reinforced by a childhood spent in poverty, the other a more wholistic (?), balanced lifestyle represented by several characters he meets while tree planting.

josey-- the packers haven't made the playoffs in years. maybe you meant the akeydian packers from the 3rd century AD?

Krahn said...

do you mean the akkadian from the 3rd century BC or are you as stupid as i think? And i meant go Moose.

(who is/was your editor?)

Major feat Lorne! It takes a person of strong character to pour 6 years in to a single project. I couldn`t do it. I have the attention span of a goldfish swimming in black coffee.
I look forward to my autographed copy.

thanks again, all.

to be honest, part of the reason i stuck it out was a comfort zone thing. doing just one project for so long meant i never had to try anything new.

as far as editors, i've mostly done that myself thus far, though i've had a few pro writers reading it and offering advice at points, and a local author who's been my resource all along.
