Hey! I've patented lowlight photography with windows showing birght highlights and sillouettes!

This is that goes around comes around situation, isn't it?

How do you do that?

Oh wait you can't tell me 'cause of the patent.
:)

Cool pictures.

the influence here was my old buddy james smith-- he used to set up his manual camera on a tripod in a dark outdoor spot, w/ a really long exposure-- 25 or 30 seconds.

and then we'd slowly, slowly walk from one spot to another, changing positions, etc, producing a series of ghosts.

that's what i did here.

Thanks wolfboy.

Uh oh. James you've made a few issues in recent posts about ownership again, what's up? Is there a new issue? Did someone get you going on this, or are you just stirring the pot for fun to see what you get. Personally I don't have any problem, as long as no one copies my man-goat cloaning techniques!

lol

Did you hear some company(ies) patented cancer!? With the ability to patent living things or rather dna sequences, some opportunistic corp. decided to put their claim on the signature of breast cancer. They have shut down labs that were illegally using "their cancer" in research (looking for cures)!

How's that for crazy ownership issues! Ever since Monsanto and their FDA stocked affiliates established the right to claim living things, the patent office's phone has been ringing off the hook.

yikes. that's scary. someone give us a source on that info, if they know of it. a link or somethin'

p.s. that man-goat clone is still givin' me the creeps.

Is it even conceivable or reasonable that we were devoid of ideas before we met James?

Please, pfff.

The whole ownership thing is too funny. I love to stir it up every now and then, it is a very important topic for artists.

But can you all please quit copying me. hah!

Pollenate the world my little bees, take my messages out to all, share it with them, and enjoy.

Quitmoanez, you're the worst of them all. Of course you had ideas before you met me, but they weren't any good. hah x2!

I guarantee that if anyone comes up with anything new, that it'll only be a short span of time before you see it somewhere else that has no connection to you at all. C'est la vie.

Right! Pollenate...uh what was the message again?

Carlos had at least one good idea, making friends with you =) (probably others too).

And yes, ownership is important to artists. Especially those that have the audacity to try to make a living from it. I have some new ideas on that front, but will likely change my mind a few times before I am finally "established".

As for

"if anyone comes up with anything new, that it'll only be a short span of time before you see it somewhere else that has no connection to you at all"

I think we are linked in many ways, some we are not even aware of, so while it may appear there is no connection, there undoubtedly is.

Still here are some ideas I've had recently that I have yet to seen emerge elsewhere...

-Kimchi in alfredo sauce.
-Neoprean/Leather shoes with a plastic backing (like a shoe
horn built in)
-Aqua terrarium with sunterrainean level for amphibians.
-Edible bicycles
-cereal buffet

I saw a guy who ate an entire bicycle. Below is an excert about a cereal buffet...

The food is excellent as usual - stunning 5 course dinners, service is outstanding. I still love the Bar-B-Q ribs at lunch, and find plenty of choices for breakfast - from eggs served many styles to pancakes or french toast plus the fruit and cereal buffet.
(excert from someone staying at a hotel in the British Isles)

Just to knock a couple of the list...

And it wasn't Carlos' idea to be my friend. He really had no choice in the matter! hehehehehehe.

And the message for today is "Art Good"
