on the plane on the way to TO once, jenni and i saw this Life Network show about the renos at the Drake, and how it went from shabby to ultra-chic.
right before the re-opening, the snooty, self-important owner type guy called all the staff together and gave a big tearful speech (how would anyone cry anymore if it weren't for reality TV?) about how this proves the strength of the human spririt, and how our spirits are strong enough to (sob, sob) overcome any obstacles, etc.
of course, jenni and i noted, it never hurts if you have like, 8.5 million of someone else's money to go along with that spirit.
A Love for Art was a collaborative blog for visual artists, musicians, writers, and social scientists. This blog has evolved into a new blog called BETA, go check it out!

From what I understand, it was family dinero as well, self-funded.
Yet you can't take away anyone's exprience, but can you think them of a lower-grade quality?
I don't know.
Sob sob...
:)
sigh... i dunno. it was more the "i'm on reality TV i'd better act really important and profound" that got me. but good questions.
i find reality TV funny that way--everyone is suddenly a star.
Interesting. Yet you look a bit lost in the pictures. just kidding.
