Carnage by John Parsons

John was walking a country road and discovered hundreds of dead frogs on a road in Dunany.

When you think of the subject and the potential meaning and colours it is a strange mixture of disgusting, disturbing, and beautiful. Some of them don't look like they were road kill, they are scattered so evenly, did they fall from the sky? I can't help but to anthropomorphize them.

Oh ya, and that blue one isn't a frog. It appears to be a salamander survivor.

At certain times of year the frogs migrate across the roads and get squashed.

The colors are beautiful, all those delicious guts would make beautiful paintings!

I love the colours,

hmmm...a mysterious combination of beauty and grotesque...dissolving and appearing seamlessly.

This reminds me of that movie "Magnolia" that came out a few years ago.

great movie, i thought the same thing. and of course there are historical examples of frogs raining from the sky (as well as crosses and stuff). i was driving home from grand beach one time and was stuck because the roads were totally covered with frogs. I had to stop, but my friend took the wheel and drove over them, it was really terrible cause i have a weird fascination/love for amphibians.
