From "Memory" a collection of poems 1998

The Glass of Memory
We are half living dreams and half dead memories.
The resurrection of memories, the act of regret
is a process of misinterpretation, where you re re-invent your self.
We dream-imagine ourselves from our personal histories.

Wrecking myself was necessary for me.
The lower I could go, the higher the climb.
A hero is one who is brave in the face of adversity.
I'm a self-inflicted hero.

I've kept a record of this journey,
the finding of a dream, at the bottom of a hole
-my own design. With the heat from the core
of that dream ill forge myself anew.

But that is the end; and not
in this book. The journey,
the memory misinterpreted
and re-invented for you

is just a page away.
